We have big news to report in this edition. BDDF are going through a significant transformation. The changes are needed to ensure we are best placed to survive and support our members in a world post covid. As with most charitable organisations there are funding challenges and staffing changes coming.
May 2022
Visit the BDDF team at the Basingstoke Festival of Transport on Sunday! We will be doing children's face painting, selling raffle tickets for the Scarecrow Trail fundraiser and taking enquiries for our Disability Information Service.
March 2022
New service alert - we are offering one to one information and support via our disability signpost service. An opportunity to explain your needs and be matched to agencies and other sources of information who can help. The service provides a confidential, supportive and non-judgemental environment for anyone who needs to discuss an issue or consider their options on a particular topic. Happy New Year! We are back in full swing following the Christmas break with our free services up and running. Details about our regular activities are below. New service alert - do you want to get more out of your laptop or tablet? Know someone who needs IT help? We are hosting weekly clinics which will help our members to better use their personal IT devices.

Today, 2nd November is Purple Tuesday, an event that seeks to improve the experience of Disabled customers, #PurpleTuesday is about creating a step change improvement in the awareness of the value and needs of Disabled customers. It is about making the customer experience accessible.
July 2021
Plans are well underway for our second family fun community fundraising event, Chineham & Sherfield Park Scarecrow Trail. This year we have invited fellow not for profits to have a stall at the event and there will be lots of entertainment for the children.

BDDF's first fully virtual Disability Awareness Day was held in March, and was a huge success. Thank you to the not-for-profit charities, groups, volunteers & members who offered content that contributed to 8 hours of live streamed footage, all of which may be viewed here.
