A message from the BDDF team

Dear Members,

We hope you are all well? We know it has been a strange month so far, back into lockdown but we are all staying positive and we are still here for you in a variety of ways!

Seated Yoga - currently virtual (online) only
As most of you will now be aware our face-to-face Chair Yoga sessions are currently cancelled due to this second lockdown. The great news is though we are still offering our classes virtually! Every Wednesday at midday. To register and get reminders pre-register here. You can also watch Live on Facebook, just go to our Facebook page just before midday every Wednesday and you will see us going 'Live' just click to watch & join in!

Walking Group
We are also excited to update you on our weekly Walking Group which is free to attend, open to all abilities and strictly follows Government group guidelines. Funded by ‘Energise Me’ these social walks are already being thoroughly enjoyed by our members, an opportunity to make new connections whilst getting exercise and fresh air.

Walks:
- Old Basing on Wednesdays
- War Memorial Park on Thursdays
Both strictly by pre-book only.

We are keen to offer more sessions in other areas of Basingstoke - if you would like a regular social walk to take place where you live please contact us. We are looking for volunteer walk leaders and suitable routes (lasting around 1 hour), the routes must be gentle and accessible and allow for social distancing.

Winter Tea-break
We are continuing to run our FREE online 'Friday Tea Break Club' - live interactive weekly 'coffee mornings' with activities & entertainment, brought to you in the comfort of your home! Fridays 10-11:30, click here to register in advance.

Disability information day
Our next annual disability information day will take place in The Malls shopping centre on Friday 26th March 2021. If you are a local disability service or business operating in Basingstoke and are interested in exhibiting do get in touch.

We will be in touch regularly, keeping you up to date with clubs, sessions and exciting new projects as well as news from the Borough. Please feel free to share this newsletter with any interested parties.

Best wishes
Amanda, Sarah, Ani & the Trustees.
